First, I notice that I understand so much more when I am present for the workshop as it is taking place... waiting for lines is like spoon-feeding, allowing room for fuller tasting.
What I noticed yesterday, Saturday, was a general pattern of hiding in little pockets I make for myself, on many weekends when the whole family is together. We operate less like a group than we did when the children were younger. In fact, it often feels like we've already moved out of the house and into our own places, until we go out or have people in. I feel some pressure that things should conform to a picture, but learned years ago that trying to frame things in that way or put great energy into managing everyone was not healthy, so make room for others to have the more 'wound' rhythms than I generally feel comfortable in.
