Empathy

Empathy is like seeing how others are just like us. Being open and making that connection, like touching the ground so to speak. Sometimes pitying happens instead, ever so unnoticeably. I think empathy is based on equality rather than pride or separateness.

While I was helping someone on the street the other day, I was saddened to see how we don't really notice others. People are seen as stuff in the way etc. I guess we often feel squashed and pushed around.
